3. AI-generated content disclaimer
3.1 AI-generated responses
The STAR responses, letter grades, and scoring provided by CareerNotesAI are generated using artificial intelligence technology. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies
- All AI-generated content should be reviewed and validated by you before use
- Letter grades and scores are AI estimates, not definitive assessments of interview readiness
- You are responsible for the final quality and accuracy of your interview responses
- AI is a tool to assist your preparation, not a replacement for human judgment
- We recommend practicing and refining responses independently
3.2 No accuracy guarantees
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
3.3 User responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before using it
- Ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of your interview responses
- Making independent judgments about your career preparation
- Not relying solely on AI-generated content for important decisions
4. User accounts and conduct
4.1 Account creation
To use the Service, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- Maintain and update your account information as needed
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
4.2 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

4.3 Invite feature
When you use the invite-a-friend feature, you represent that you have the recipient's consent or a legitimate basis to send them the invite. You agree not to use the feature for spam or unsolicited marketing. You are responsible for ensuring that the email address you provide is appropriate and that the recipient would reasonably expect to receive an invite from you.
4.4 Beta conduct
As a beta tester, you agree to:
- Use the Service in good faith and for its intended purpose
- Provide honest and constructive feedback
- Respect other beta testers and our team
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or extract proprietary information
- Report security vulnerabilities responsibly
4.5 User responsibility for content
You are solely responsible for the content you input, create, upload, or share through the Service. We do not control, monitor, or assume any liability for user-provided content. You must ensure that you have the right to share any information you provide and that you do not share confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information (including about your employer or third parties) in violation of any obligation or third-party rights. CareerNotesAI has no obligation to screen or verify user content and is not responsible for how you use the Service or what you choose to share.
5. Intellectual property
5.1 Our content
The Service, including all content, features, functionality, and technology, is owned by CareerNotesAI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
5.2 Your content
You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the Service (such as your notes, STAR responses, or feedback). By using the Service, you grant us a license to:
- Store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
- Use your content to improve and train our AI models (in anonymized or aggregated form)
- Use your feedback to improve the Service
5.3 AI-generated content ownership
AI-generated content (STAR responses, scores, etc.) created through the Service is provided for your use, but you acknowledge that the underlying AI technology and models are our intellectual property.
6. Privacy and data

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CareerNotesAI, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any content you create, upload, or share through the Service
- Your sharing of confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information (including about employers or third parties) in violation of your obligations or third-party rights
10. Termination
