What is CareerNotesAI?

  • CareerNotesAI is an AI-powered interview preparation companion that helps you turn real work experiences into STAR responses, letter grades, and scoring cues so you can practice storytelling, coaching, and interview readiness.
  • The beta is focused on capturing lived experience, refining the STAR bank, and validating how AI feedback supports users; it is not yet a full production product.

What does the beta status mean?

  • Features are experimental, subject to change, and may degrade or disappear with little notice.
  • Support is limited to beta-specific channels (email careernotesai@gmail.com and the feedback form) and is provided on a best-effort basis.
  • You may encounter bugs, missing flows, or temporary downtime as we iterate quickly.
  • We collect feedback, telemetry, and AI usage data to improve the service before a broader release.

How do I report a bug or share feedback?

  • Use the feedback form linked on the landing page and dashboard (or visit /feedback when available).
  • You can also email careernotesai@gmail.com with "Beta Feedback" in the subject line and include a short reproduction or screenshot.
  • Security issues should be reported responsibly to the same address with the subject "Security Issue".

What data does the beta collect?

  • We collect account/identity data (email, name, role, Clerk metadata), STAR responses, scoring, prompts, telemetry (session duration, feature usage, device/browser, IP), support/feedback messages, and optional billing information when/if payment rolls out.
  • AI-generated notes and scores are stored so we can improve the experience and analyze trends; you remain responsible for verifying any AI output.
  • Third parties include Clerk (identity/auth), OpenAI/Gemini (AI generation), Stripe (future payments), and analytics/monitoring tools (e.g., Vercel, Sentry). See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is there an AI disclaimer?

  • Yes. Section 3 of the Terms of Service includes the full AI disclaimer, explaining that outputs may contain errors, are estimates only, and should be reviewed before use. Visit /terms#ai-disclaimer for the extended legal version.
  • We also surface a short warning in the UI (for example, near the STAR card) that reads: "AI generated content for guidance only"

What can I expect in terms of support and response time?

  • We aim to respond to general inquiries within 2–3 business days. For feedback that requires engineering input, you may see follow-ups within one week.
  • If you report a bug through the form, our product team will log it in the discovery tracker and acknowledge receipt with next steps.
  • The beta is research-focused, so support is not 24/7 and we cannot guarantee uptime or immediate fixes.

Are there any billing or payment expectations?

  • During the beta, the service is free. Payment hooks (pricing, billing cycles, refunds) will be introduced later, and the Terms of Service already reserve the right to add charges with notice.
  • When we add payments via Stripe or another processor, we will update this FAQ, the Terms, and the Privacy Policy before you are charged.
